RVA Project #1

I absolutely LOVED this project! The toastie and the cupcake are for my sister and my mom. I got tons of inspiration from the RVA Flickr Group and in particular loved this classmate's amazing buttery toast, a little gem that I cannot find now in the group pool. It was awesome & had a little embroidered smile (way better than mine but oh so inspiring). I have a few other ideas in the works -- I think an orange popsicle for the one on the far right would be perfect for my other sister!
I'm off to organize and de-clutter the craft room..so close to finishing my 1st quilt but I need to get things cleared up in there. I just read a scary post about a cat eating thread and Oliver is certainly capable of that. I prefer to avoid trips to the animal ER if at all possible - they are frightening and cost an arm & a leg!

I'm taking Rachel & Elsie's spring online class courtesy of Red Velvet Art. I bought this awesome stash of recycled eco-felt from Felt-O-Rama. I know I'll be using a ton of felt for class projects and some of my own! I've done a few but have been very preoccupied with finishing my first quilt (almost done) . I'll be able to concentrate my efforts soon.
Stay tuned for more photos...

Hello there. Stuck at home today feeling under the weather. I've been lucky enough to avoid all the bugs bouncing around this winter. Turns out this one was stronger than my Vitamin C/Echinacea cocktail. I thought I'd use the opportunity to set up my new blog. I can't wait to start sharing photos, recipes, craft projects, sewing and artwork!
